My non-profit Southern Oregon East Asian Awareness hosted an educational event at the Medford public library. The event was free and open to the public. I displayed an educational board of East Asian countries sharing key facts and features of the country such as political structure, economy, religious, and cultural practices. I recently became a member of the Japan-America Society of Oregon. I'm eager to participate in their events. Take a look at their website! Growing up on Kadena Air Base in Okinawa shaped much more than my childhood environment. It sparked a deep and lasting passion for Japanese culture that continues to guide my interests and studies today.
